May 4th, the public gallery was standing room only as the public awaited the trial of the year. The jury filed in, the drunken judge (literally) fell into the room and stumbled to his seat much to the annoyance of the usher desperately trying to keep order. Once there was silence in court, the defendant emerged to plead his case. It’s showtime... Ugie Voices’ first spring concert saw Peterhead Sheriff Court transformed into a Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta, this sell out performance in memory of our late chairperson Marion Macfarlane was a showcase of popular songs, show tunes and classics.
